Toasted or dark sesame oil is an oil made from toasted / roasted sesame seed. Compared to plain sesame oil toasted sesame oil is darker and has a much richer sesame flavor. Unfortunately roasting the sesame seeds can also decrease the oil's shelf life compared to untoasted sesame oil.
